I saw him around the same period (unusually for me not the Stadium though... I think) and it was stunning, Both Parker and The Rumour were just fantastic, raw and tight as something proverbial.JAW wrote: I saw him in the National Stadium around the time of this album 1978/79. It's a strange one, sides 1,2 & 3 are 33 1/3 and side 4 is a 45 version of Hey Lord, Don't ask Me Questions. It would be interesting to see what's on the cd.Dearg Doom wrote:I have 'Heat Treatment', 'Squeezing Out Sparks' and 'It Don't Mean A Thing....' but not 'The Parkerilla'Gerry D wrote:A great favorite of mine is Graham Parker.JAW wrote:Amother one from the distant long ago

Don't know much about them but enjoying this one this evening
Re: Rock - what are you listening to?
Listening, at this late hour, to the beautiful untutored voice of Kath Bloom backed by the bluesy extrapolations of her then-husband, Loren Connors. Music which never fails to break my heart and which simply confirms its enduring power every time you hear it. A voice of such emotional fragility, the breeze of this heartrending music has indeed killed me.
