I listened 2.31, still my preferred amongst the latest, with control 1.3 and in my opinion there's a clear improvement vs. 1.1. Music flows more easily and more coherent, so less artificial. Very beautiful female voices and piano solo. Listenings on redbook material.

bass not as good as 2.37 but other stuff is wrong there

missing the avx's
Agree 2.47 is better than 2.46, but not in a big way.

It was indeed very nice to hear with 2.37 what greatness can be achieved in the bass range.
Don't know of course, if it is mutually exclusive with the other goods from the other best versions.

Miss the flow and air of 100000
It was never bettered AFAIK
some other stuff is better
Maybe separation of instruments and vocal needs to be better too
Seems like the deck has been reshuffled

Can't get the 100000 to run anymore.
The avx was the better one compared to earlier sse2 and sse4,
have got the impression sse2 has been gaining ground, but as said can't run avx 100000 anymore, only the avx v1 with 32-bit highres and that's an oldie.

Gordon seems to have lost avx capability competely so don't know what to expect in that corner.

Fully agree. Like I said, last night I tried all the new versions and my base was 2.31. None of them beats 2.31.
Then I went back and compared 2.31 with 100000 and I ended up enjoying the 100000 the rest of the evening!

100000 is the most natural and balanced, it's a masterpiece. I believe that the 1000000 deserves at list five more zero's!!! :))))))

Getting the 100000 in 32 bits will be like Christmas again!!! ;-)

uploaded sse2 R2.48, just did a comparison with 2.31 and think it beats it on most counts, only 16/44 to keep everyone happy.

Sometimes I just hate computers!!!!

Yesterday I have been messing about for a long time to get avx 100000 running again, but no show.

Stimulated by Adam, I thought to give it another try, and music goes forth happily at the first try.

Beats me, but I'll just be grateful.

Cheers

to me 100000 sounded digital, so not a contender. Maybe because I know what's going on under the bonnet affects the choice.

Deer boy, (get it, your breaking hart comment a few posts back, anyway) I do this so I don't need to download.
