Seán had mentioned Beethoven's birthday yesterday so while I was out and about I came across this two LP set yesterday....
I do not have many Fidelios so this is a welcome addition to my collection.

The above CD was at the back of my mind when I did the thread on Bach's Orchestral Suites but I did not mention it because I felt [perhaps incorrectly] that people would not know Pearlman very well. I have a number of CDs featuring him and I really like them so I decided to buy this one as well.

It is a very fine work Seán. Other than the Bach Cello Suites I only have one other CD with Wispelwey playing and that is the Brahms Cello Sonatas which I also like so I am looking forward to hearing this CD.
