You know the bug with the little bit of music replaying after playback has ended? 2 bits of info:

1. v5.1 is in development and will have a potential fix for this
2. At Marcins suggestion I set the packet size to 400. Hasn't happened since.

1. That certainly has. Great so easy in the end. That could be a return to base upgrade from other manufacturers and €200 to cover the 'miracle improvements'

Now that is sorted I think you should chop this thread up a bit Fran. The usb stick carry on should be on a separate thread!

You're right Tony - lets move to discuss the usb key thingy under the building an audio PC thread?

I'm a bit too lazy to move the relevant posts there - and anyway they're mixed up anyway.....

Carry on....

I carried on and unfortunately if you wait long enough between tracks the glitch is still there.Roll on version 5.1

You set packetsize to 400 and are still getting the glitch?

mmm. Even Josef has said that while they are trying t address this in 5.1, it might not sort everyone out. I wonder because my audio PC is not exactly great - and ancient yoke tbh...... packet size making a difference would suggest that its something to do with networking.

You are using wifi? I can try connected the streamer by cable. Once you are at the pc and ready with the next choice the replay is avoided but if you sit and wait for me anyway it is still there. It is not worry but certainly would not sound great at a demo trying to flog the software.

The audioPC is connected via cable to the router, the controlPC is working via wifi to the same router. So a mix I suppose.

And I just realised I have been typing "packetsize" when I meant "xstramsize" being set to 400.

John/Ken/Pearse/Tony - and any other jplay 5 users - have you tried the different packetsize options? I've tricked about a bit with it and based on casual listening, I seem to have settled on 4 - which means that it sends bigger chunks of data at 6sec intervals rather than a continuous stream. Any observations?
