If so, How do I save the updates to apply when I do a OS re-install?

try v3.54 256 10586, it works for your 10586.122 ?
i'll update again, maybe also will have 10586.122. after that will disable windows update service and keep file set of kernel and audio core for long time.
think you can't save the updates to apply when you do a OS re-install. not sure.

I regularly have to re-install, i.e. after breaking things :)

Win10 had installed culumulative update KB3140743 as well as KB3139907, 3116278 and an unnumbered Adobe Flash Player security update.

File list and download option can be accessed from here:

but, according the filelist, only takes ntdll.dll to 117.

I will do a fresh install, uninstall Flash crap, to see if I can run the culumulative update KB3140743 offline.

What is your update history?

have updated, win ver. 1511 (OS build 10586.122). think there's the same as your. my current dll list:
ntdll.dll 10586.122
kernel32.dll 10586.0 (unchanged)
kernelbase.dll 10586.103 (unchanged)
combase.dll 10586.103 (unchanged)
MMDevAPI.dll 10586.0 (unchanged)
audioses.dll 10586.122
audiokse.dll 10586.122
avrt.dll 10586.0 (unchanged)

i regularly re-write code from these dll and make tricks, directly access to some function entries bypass entries by API com interface.

culumulative update KB3140743 can't help in your case, some files ver. is older. and i don't get it.
try use ghost for saving OS drive. i use ghost.exe ver. 11.5 running in DOS mode.

will re-build lekt.exe v3.54 256 10586 for new updated windows.

10586.0 Install + KB3140743 WUSIed results in dll versions matching your list.
Hence it appears I can re-install to 10586.122.
(So the file list from https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/kb/3140743 appears incorrect).

I will install soundcard drivers etc and try lekt.exe v3.54 tomorrow.

lekt.exe 3.54 stops immediately - no music - have you updated it for 122?
(lekt.exe 3.51 plays nice on 122)

think you confused, 3.51 can't play. there's only v3.53.1 256 ws2016 plays for me with 10586 build

uploaded lekt.exe v3.54.1 256 10586.122

rebuilded from v3.54 256 10586, all needed functions unchanged in new windows dll set, only pointers/entries changed (location changed in file), not difficult for correction.
try it, hope it works in your ws2016.

tried downloading some new versions. MS defender thought they are virus, and deleted them... wtf

v3.54.1 256 10586.122 plays very nicely on Win10. (I gave up on ws2016 TP4 - Win10 10586 sounds better). Best of 10586.
