have learned ws2016 dll files, too much changed relative entry points, almost in audio core dll. need time to analys them, goon-heaven. will try, maybe i can do.

your ws2016 dll versions: 10.0.10586.xx
my win10 pro dll versions: 10.0.10240.16xxx

think ws2016 dll build newer, i have seen better code in several functions. no longer need windows update for win10 for synchronize dll versions.
try v3.39 256 lea win10_vs2015 , v3.43 256 win10 for testing in ws2016 and compare SQ to win10. these 2 versions of lekt player used standard exported windows API so can work for ws2016, not sure.

Thank you for your efforts - this could be difficult if you cannot test - take all the time you need.
I read that TP4 has same audio engine as Win10. Let me know if you determine this is wrong.

Both stop straight off, no music.
I am assuming I dont need any C++ runtime dlls for these to work?
Can you suggest any other lekt players to try?

engine almost is the same but only architecture, COM interface, algorithm. new builded dll file can be add/remove/modify some functions/sub-functions so can change entry point (relative location in dll file) of functions or variables in data section.

i think if we in one day update win10, ws2016 together then can get last dll versions, they can be the same for win10 and ws2016, hopefully. and lekt player will work in both OS.

YAY! v3.53.1 plays and very nicely too. Will do some critical listening later.

What w10 lekt version is closest to v3.53.1?

v3.19.1 256 pop
try run in ws2016. v3.19.1 256 pop not bad sound, have focus. do compare, ws2016 better than win10?

v3.53.1 256 ws2016 uses simple code, no tricks. so code lesser, small file size, it have acuratetely rearranged blocks of instructions, good effect coz better for instruction fetching by CPU.
sound very good, think it have most correct depth, width. bass weigth enough can make natural, full stereo effect and good live sound.
tested Pink Floyd/Welcome to The Machine, full sound in room, anywhere.

Yes, v3.53.1 256 ws2016 is excellent. I agree with your SQ analysis - also has good detail.

Comparing OSs using this player: Server 2016 sounds super clean against W10, the lower noise floor gives slightly better micro detail and insight.

great news. have seen many functions in ws2016 dll(s) changed, almost reduced code size for each function. im following few functions and related sub-functions, audio core not frequently improved but system kernel everyday changes code.
enjoy with ws2016.

I see W10 Enterprise Eval is build 10586 too, so have installed that on the W10 stick to replace eval build 10240.

SQ surpasses that from W2016 TP4 build 10586 , super clean, excellent imaging, better presentation of strings.
