old lekt used vc++ library functions for printing in cmd window, readfile,... so need msvcr100/110 and maybe more depending version. i don't know why they can't work in new vc++ in win10, think coz compiled by old msvcrt.lib.

for example, am listening to c7, needs exactly vc++2013. in previous windows build, no need install anything
use code of v3.45.2 256 ses2, made tricks for function CoInitializeEx and function MMDeviceEnumerator->Release()

Audio PC not plugged into ethernet - no windows updates to mess up my audio.
i disabled windows update service, and will enable when needed. sometimes upadte is good, sometimes not. after few months can be make update, i think we can together in time update so may rewrite code for new kenel dll and audio core.
use standard functions can not improve more SQ, need go to deeply in core layers. but issue is compatibility with dll build version, hehe...

JC, have anything works for you (laptop/PCI soundcard) after windows update? v3.44.2 256 norel2 works?
no worries! back to old win10. now i block ALL update with "Metered connection".
new win10 is troublesome. need vc++ all the time.
windows search feels slower everyday.
response feels slower...
apps installed by itself.
restart windows takes 5-10mins, because windows IS OBSSESSED TO UPDATE ITSELF...
SQ is very unstable coz UPDATE is being checked, downloaded and installed all the time....

hehe... you like home edition. i use win10 pro so then can disable automatic update, no problem. i don't think that disable windows update service can make SQ lesser.
OK, after 1 or 2 months we will with you and goon-heaven together make update, getting new advantage kernel dll and audio core, maybe i must rewrite somethings of code. think new optimized OS kernel can be better, usually.
