A most enjoyable listen musically and a composer definitely worth exploring further. I loved the scoring for woodwinds and brass and the resulting sound produced by Concerto Koln. Warmly recommended.

A music professor I studied under many, many moons ago was an advocate for Dutch composers, old and modern, feeling they were universally overlooked. I remember him championing Wilms along with Diepenbrock and Pijper. I will have to look this up

Pelleas and Melisande incidental music, Tapiola and The Oceanides.
