I'm quite sure, Sean will be onto you all to add this to your collection... ;-)
That is another very good set especially at that price; well done Jared. It is one that I would certainly recommend for a somewhat slightly different interpretation on this music for anyone wishing to explore the wonderful symphonies of Sibelius.

jaybee... his Mozart is actually very underrated, and is in many people's top 3.... both his Sonata and Concerto box-sets are worth owning, in fact (I own both). He seems to be in a minority as a pianist in that whereas he is principally known for his Beethoven, I think he really does also have a fine grasp of the Mozartian language... so, go for it.
I wouldn't post anything in the BT if I didn't think it was well worth the money.
Cheers Jared, 'tis in the basket...

Fergus: Mine arrived this morning, and I have to say it's in a very nicely presented foldout digipack with booklet... very happy!

Cheers Jared; it will take a little longer to reach here obviously but I have been thinking about it and I am looking forward to hearing it.

that's great news Fergus... I really hope you enjoy it. Nicely packaged, isn't it? Now, I don't know whether you're interested, but I was having a bit of a trawl through the nether regions of chez Amazon and came across this set:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Haydn-Songs-Jos ... aydn+songs
Brilliant have reissued in identical style 3CD digipack form, the complete songs/ lieder of Haydn, excluding his folk songs. Apparently, these were well known and respected recordings made for Philips in the mid 1970's by Elly Ameling, and have long since been out of print.... I don't know whether others, maybe Pepe can throw some light on this set for us, but for this modest sum, I admit, I've invested....

It is a very nice set Jared. I will let you know how I get on with it in due course.
Thank you for the notice but I will put the Haydn in the ponder pouch for the moment.
