have tested by cmd prompt, sometimes application can get commandline:
lekt.exe file "E:\music\track1.wav",
sometimes C:\lekt.exe file "E:\music\track1.wav"
so then player can run only in first case. think need use cd C:\ , press enter and paste lekt.exe file "E:\music\track1.wav" , in this case OS will give correct needed command string.

for v3.33 256 win8.1 you can try C:\!.exe 1234567 "!.wav", maybe it works...
could you run by .bat file, always correct command string. the first i would know last new versions for win8.1 syscall functions can run on R2 or not.

Both v3.33.1 256 test1 & v3.33.2 256 test2 play from all your suggestions and from my preferred SQ cmd too.
Test1 has good head-banger vibration - I like it.
Test2 sounds recessed in comparision.

ok, think need make version to test in R2 how internally system managing stack and using registers, so then make trick for them, v3.32 256 eax use effectively tricks coz win8 lets me touch many things in prohibited stack area.
maybe you can update windows, have seen your system dll version is 6.3.9600.16384, mine is 6.3.9600.17031 (new update 3 days ago).

Ah... seems like I've thrown out Networking and Windows Update on my audio OS VHD - tee-hee...
I'll have to build another, apply WU before I junk it.

Close call (on R2 6.3.9600.16384). Both 33 rcx are good. I like the drive and dynamics on both. Great micro-detail on rcx. Will test further...

Have been "discovering" the virtues of offline windows update and dism to apply to install.wim on Win2Go flash stick. Feels a bit like driving up wrong side of motorway.

After much flaff (VHDs too small for the additional 3GB Windows Update bloat), I am listening to v3.33.4 256 rcx on a prototype WinRAM R2 version 17031 - candidate for new favorite. Will try build another VHD 17031 with minimum WU evil.

does 3.32 256 eax work on win8.1? this version is the almost absolute best sound on my 2012. next best sound is xa mpc and mqn
