Worth having a look at the chips from Philips/NXP. For example when using an output transformer you can make good use of the full supply voltage capability of the TDA1521. Into normal loads its current starved but with 2:1 step down you're good to go. Bridge it and use 4:1 step down...

Oh another even higher voltage chip is reputed to sound good, TDA1514A.

:-) :-) Got a good chuckle out of the "Did not explode yet" printed on the boards :-) :-)

For the ludites like me are these the regulators for charging the batteries in the Amp?

Can't take credit for the labelling
Fryderyk must of thought it was funny

The amount of stored energy is immense
If the cells were shorted with certainly less than 1mm wire the short would become a fuse and be evaporated instantly

Kinda cool kinda scary
Hence the pun
But of course stable if you don't do anything stupid

Too pic top board I's Fryderyks power management it doesn't power on the amp unless cells are been charged and sets a delay on power on and off to switching in the outputs to prevent pops and thumps

Below that is the amp and signal buffer boards
And below that is the battery power supply each board supply 5 cells so 4 per amp

Impressive work guys, did not realize there was this much work done on various boards.

Yes
quite a bit of of design and testing done
It is important for safety (to itself and to accompanying equipment) and durability
