Was there any unfavourable reaction to your music choice in the lobby?

yes, I really don't know what I'd ever do, if they told me I couldn't play my music in Reception at work... the Comments book often has favourable messages about the music I play, but I have to keep it fairly safe... you know, Bach, Handel, Mozart and some light Beethoven... that kind of thing...

Once the comments are favourable and the reaction continues to be positive it should be in everyone's interest for it to continue....it can only help the ambiance and, as they say nowadays, make for a more pleasureable experience!

A simply excellent set!!
I only own his second recording, on Sony, which people say isn't quite as good...
I had read that too Jared so I deliberately went for the earlier one....I certainly was not disappointed!
In the last BAL on the Cello Suites it was the later Yo Yo Ma recording

which won for a modern recording if I remember correctly, with Casals as overall winner. I got the Ma and was very pleased!

That is interesting Ciaran....I may well in time get the later version just for comparison.

It is a personal thing I know but of all of the versions that I have of the cello suites the Casals is the one that I actually could live without!
