uploaded v17, quite like it. If people agree I'll do the other versions.

I'm sorry but I think the sound is too polished and has lost some of its lifelike quality.
Also the airyness is definitely less than V16 and certainly less than 100000.

I don't feel it has improved compared to V16 and my preference is still for 100000.

Again I'm sorry about that.

Cheers

Aleg

It's funny, but I still don't see the v16 or v17 on the Main page!
Did we change the page?!

I am still playing 100000, I didn't try v17 yet. I agree with Aleg and Nigel, 100000 is really good, hard to beat it. It may sound little light, but I would say, only on bad recordings. I heard that on CDS1 too, it is normal, and I actually like to hear it the way it was recorded like.

V17 is uploaded tonight at 20:51 and V16 has been moved to Archive.

Thanks, I saw now. I did not expected to be before the 1.1's.

uploaded R1.0 for 24 bit. All cpus/dacs/soundcards etc should be able to play it (except for some Naim dacs).

shall upload a 24 in 32 version tomorrow.

Tonight I listened to all the v15's, v16 and the last R1.0. Could not play v17!
Finally I was able to play the 100000 version, but only with Tasker!

My #1 choice will be the 100000 version. The best dynamics and highs I ever heard, excellent bass.
I consider my system very transparent, but tonight I heard details that I never knew they exist...........beside the voices in my head!
A bit to light/bright on the voice, but I can live with that (talking about player).

So, Gordon, since you said once that the 100000 version was a mistake, I will say don't let it be your last one!
Make one more mistake, but this time in 32 bits! ;-)

testing with freshly installed R2. (R2 has a sweet digital tune attached to it. very distracting. better than win7+aero)
true analog(vinyl) tune needs old mqn.exe+win8/2012

don't have haswell... having lots of trouble

anyway, find this and it works
avx2 v1 win8.1-r2 100000
-treble feels very nice. believe it can blossom into sweet rich airy treble given a good OS
-vocal seems very good/refined. many old versions lack emotion. this one is good. really good
-this R2 is half the resolution of my 2012. very difficult to test. sbgk, can you make a win8/2012 version?

avx v7b win8.1-r2 1644 512 24192 2048 NOT WORKING
v16 NOT WORKING

r1.1 works! music itself not better than "avx2 v1 win8.1-r2 100000"
resolution is a lot higher. it wins in bass quantity. not better in bass quality

"avx2 v1 win8.1-r2 100000" > 2.71v2 in music itself. but resolution seems lower, not sure

avx2 v1 win8.1-r2 100000 is very musical. no excess in resolution at all. love it

THX

EDIT
v4 hirez sse4 wc win8.1-r2 200000 also works. maybe thin. not sure. seems it can a lot richer if R2 is tuned. this version is not more correct than "avx2 v1 win8.1-r2 100000". some jitters annoy my ears. not sure what... the stage feels like rectangle.
