meanwhile, I was able to purchase a couple of very reasonably priced copies of Gardiner's original, early '90s recordings of Bach Cantatas at a bargain price. These are with Argenta, Chance, Rolfe-Johnson & Varcoe... truly wonderful, to my ears:

Nice stuff Jared; Nancy Argenta and Anthony Rolfe-Johnson perform well in this music.

Perhaps I can bequeath my now defunct early Sunday morning JAB Cantata slot to you......

^^ sadly, I don't have enough, and it would become a little repetitious, however I will be posting details of some Bach (& Handel) choral works I will be listening to, over the next week or so...

I have just realised that I haven't listened to Allegri's Miserere, I must rectify that later today.
This is not seasonal listening I suppose, but sure every day is a Mahler day. :D This Levine/LSO recording, from 1974, is a lovely performance of the Titan.
