^^ well, as Fergus says, it wouldn't do for us all to be the same and love the same type of music...
so when you post a cover of Stockhausen's 'Works for Organ amidst the sound of Breaking Glass', then I promise I shan't type a single derisive comment about it..

I have to admit Fergus, I've never heard of Crusell, but love the Weber... this disk is delightful:

I love the way that you do that Jared. I used to do comparisons all of the time....I must revert to the practice!

thank you Fergus... you may have noticed that when I first tackle a new, substantial piece of work, I attempt to compare two two highly regarded, yet stylistically different versions of the piece... for instance, Gardiner & Karajan, or a 50's recording with a recent one... that gives me the way in to trying to understand the varying ways of how a piece might be interpreted. I then add anything which might be appropriate from my BBC Music collection, such as the Octet mentioned above.... I feel it helps me learn...
