shall copy the same code out so it works with lesser cpus as have learn't some things while doing the avx version.
On my Haswell i7 CPU-Z reports support for AVX and AVX2.
This is the computer used above.

only seems to be me that can use it at the moment.

As good as it sounds it's just another example of how much the cpu is affecting the sound. I had high hopes for hardware offloading, but that may take a few years and may only be seen in notepads etc.

stupid question,
but did you upload the right versions (corrupt?)
the i3 haswell and upwards should have no issues
cant see why it would only works for you
using the ciunas converter?

My i3 4130 also supports AVX and AVX2. Could we have something disabled that is preventing operation?

Only it isn't working in my case, and neither for many others.
So it is not an easy going version.
For me also because it is not quite clear what version of mqncontrol is compatible with it. I tried most but with no succes.

But certainly give it a try.

I tried the avx versions in MQNLoad and they all worked but then again for some reason the Meitner always worked at 16 44 and all other rates with all other MQN versions.
I copied in an V3 mqnload and still worked so that is about all I can add.

Did not get a chance for critical listening as I started breaking down my system this evening for packing tomorrow.
Maybe Saturday night we can test these out in Scalford.

Cheers, Pearse.

yes, just downloaded and checked it works, am using the hirez v1 control

using the cuinas convertor, but also works with my £20 24 bit dac from maplin.

have uploaded an sse4 version of mqnplay which uses nearly same code as the avx. The avx2 version is more velvety and layered.

v3 can only play 1 track at a time, use hirez v1.

Yes tried just with plain 44.1/16 to keep it simple at the beginning.

It runs on a headless machine without any mouse, keyboard or monitor. All is,controled over rdp client.

The machine and Mqncontrol do respond to rdp-client, and I can see mqnplay disappearing from taskmanager. See mqncontrol come in first, then mqnplay, after a sec mqnplay disappears and mqncontrol remains running and responds to closure by pressing X.

Can connect a mouse if that would help?

Got one combination running !!!

Mqncontrol hirez v1
Mqnplay hirez win 8.1 r2
Started with mqnload

Noticed that when othe mqnplay version were started via mqnload mqnplay continues playing but no sound, except for above combination.
