It is getting better, but I still can't let you to retire, sorry.
24/96 - I can play one song in full now, but when it's supposed to start next one, only some kind of static noise.
16/44 - I can play the whole album, but when it switches between the tracks, you can hear a very short interval of that static, probably 1s long.
This could be matter of control program, I guess, or that is how is supposed to be as this version can go.
Thanks a lot for your effort!

Edit,
I just discovered that I can play 24/192 too with this version, but one track at the time only, same as 24/96.
Amazing, how some of my 24/192 sound with this new toy!

Hi Aleg,

When I paste your Batch file for the first time in my MQn 2,73 folder, I forgot to change the patway, but it sounded better than the previous Batch! More defined and punchy.
Then I remembered to change the patway (in the way that should be) and I got even more defined sound, but a bit to bright.

I played all 3 versions of the 2.73 (1.the regular; 2.the Tasker+ Batch with wrong patway and 3.the Tasker+ Batch with right patway).
Most of the times I like it better the one with the wrong patway!!! I know that it sounds crazy and does not make sense, but......

If you meant about the new versions, they play ONLY 16 bits. The last one what played 24 (I guess in 32 bits containers) where 2.71 versions.

Best,
Adam

Hi Adam

Thanks, that confirms for me that Diverter/Thesycon combination is not supported yet for 24-bit playback.

I'm not quite sure yet what happened with the "wrong pathway" situation. I'll probably need to see it front of me the understand what's happening.

Cheers

Aleg

Arcam rDac (it wants all in 24bit conteiners) doesn't play any of 16bit material on any of recently posted mqn versions, though all of those plays 24bit (44 and 96khz).

Bottom line is that I like the Tasker (with wrong or right pathway..;-)) and I highly recommend everyone to try.
Thank you Aleg, Taggart and thanks to Nigel for sending me the file folder.

EDIT: If anybody interested I can send the wrong pathway.......hehehehe!
Best,
Adam

With V3 and hires even I recognise the Supertweeters can't remain on.
Next thing to try and have a go at is Adam's hybrid version of tasker whatever that might be and the Aleg version.
From my brief reading on this I need to put lines into the MQN.Bat file!

Is something wrong on my side, or V3/V4 still can't handle more than one track if hirez played with it?

All working fine here. Tried 4 tracks together awhile ago hires and seems grand no issues for me.
