The latest version of JPLAY V4 is different from V3.4 in it's structure and sound. The sound is a further improvement over V3.4 but the biggest change is that it is broken up into four parts , the main JPLAY engine now runs as a Windows service and starts immediately securing maximum RAM at start-up. For JPLAY fundamentalists who want maximum sound quality JPLAYmini uses a minimalist interface , like a text file , similar to the previous interface. This allows the user to use Hibernate etc. The final two parts are user interfaces for Foobar and iTunes(I haven't tried these) which allow the user to do track selection etc through iTunes or Foobar.
For me JPLAYmini works perfectly, the other two may require a little tweaking. The forum on the site at http://jplay.eu/forum/jplay/ addresses many of the set-up issues.

It is so good now after recent improvements Stephane that i ended up putting the Dual Turntable I bought off you into storage.
My CD player was first to be retired and now the turntable, my system is shrinking by the month after spending less than €100 on Jplay!

You won't regret it. I bet you couldn't bear the breaks on the trial version.
Recommend you set up;
Beach
DirectLink
FullScale Hibernate

Got it ! Amazing !!! :)

But the setup you indicated don't work for me, I guess my netbook needs more RAM.

Hi Stephane,
Directlink is minimum buffer size so you can increase this until it works. This depends on your computer and DAC capability .
Beach should work ok.
Don't use Hibernate until everything else is set.
You might try a relatively small amount of RAM until you get it working. I think the default setting is 1Gb but you can reduce this.

Can I mention totalcommander here?

I missed it, and Tony mentioned it to me.... Quite the improvement!
