Try some ordinary copper instead of the cat 5 - a bit of 2.5 twin & earth - I made a set of the tnt cat 5 cables one time and thought they were a bit harsh in the treble.

Can you use the amp with se inputs?

That word 'metallic' is a good descriptor. That's how I'd describe the sound from my Class D amp too. It's not so much a fault, but more a result of a very pure and neutral sound. It's not harsh or over analytical, just really clean. In some ways I like really it, but it is a bit unemotional.

Great to get a few views on this! Cheers. I don't think it is a huge problem if I mix audio on the monitors, but it is very obvious coming straight from my very "human" sounding main system. I do think it will improve somewhat as it is breaking in. Will keep youse posted!
