wushuliu - brilliant write-up and thanks for taking the time to do so.
I look at the Wiener and the thought & design clearly put into it, and feel gmarsh implementation is top class and will ask about spare boards.
However, if he has none then the Sure one looks good. The Volt+ requires ideally 19V which is getting too high for me for 26650 batteries and I don't need the power it has with my 101Db/12 ohm impedance Zu Audio Druid Mk4s.

Then what will be the best solution for 5V battery PS and powering with 5V from ATX Teradak?

I don't know, I think I would rather spend 30 to $50 on a lifepo battery simple charging set up.
