Yeah, on the one hand I would truly love to hear those, on the other hand I'm trying NOT to demo anything I can't afford. I've made that mistake before....!!!!

Thanks everyone else for comments (and indeed pictures!) Watch this space.

There's an Airtight ATM 1 here if you want to try it (more valves!) but they have gotten very he expensive recently.

Sorry for the lack of response here, I was struck down by the dreaded manflu and I'm only just recovering. Women don't know how we suffer.

Thank you for the offers of amps, Ivor and Fran. I'm probably most interested in the higher-powered end of the spectrum at the moment, as there's something really appealing about hearing those woofers being shown who's boss! As such, I might pass for now, but I won't pass on the Pass for long, since I always wanted to hear one. Apart from everything else, I'm still babysitting the Krell and it doesn't leave much room on the rack for anything else. As it is, I'm just hoping I don't arrive home one day to discover it's gone through the rack and split the thing in two...

Thanks Fran. Sounds good too.

@ Twebber. The C-200 and P-300 pre and power are superb units but the asking is too high. They can be had separately in top condition for €900 or thereabouts. They predate my amp by ten years. The E303x is at the right money if all is well.
