So far, based on my tweaking, I'm actually enjoying a set up where the speakers are pointed directly at the listening position and a little bit further apart than usual. I initially thought this might be too much of a good thing but not so far... Ah the joy of tubes!

Should have talked to Fergus much earlier about that Simon. He has always advocated it. I remember him toeing in my Spendors when he originally called to hear them. You have me trying it with the Quads tonight. Can't say it is not working!

Been experimenting with toe in the past few weeks. I've settled on the tweeter facing the furthest away eye without turning my head if that makes sense. Better bass and nicer soundstage without it sounding too narrow. Happy days :-)

Yeah so far I have stuck with something similar. Very solid central image and not too much narrowing of soundstage if at all. Certainly the bass response seems smoother (presumeably because it doesnt interact with the room as much, more direct sound less reflected?)

Delighted it's working out! I'm still experimenting but keep coming back to a similar position myself too.
