It is very clear Seb is getting away with the bribery requirement which is galling for the rest of us mere mortals.

For next years Nigecat card has the oven thingy being identified? Where is the link for the €80 clocks? ( I just want to see what they look like)

Pearse awhile ago gave me his damaged ppa v3 after much investigation I got it repaired with a base ec01 silverstone card on first impessions it was good
on a b testing vs my mods it was inhibited by the usb chipset been powered by the pci slot once powered by lifepo4 it seemed to shine
without that it's been only been on par or a little less than what I'm working on

Did you tried the OCXO clock in your card?
Would that make a bigger difference compared to TCXO clocks?

well more a-b testing is required so its close

thought the gap would be bigger

i wanna test it without the transformer too

I also expected a bigger difference between the clocks, specially considering the price difference!

Don't write it off yet
I forgot to mention the clk was powered with 5v from mobo
which I have to test with lifepo4 yet
the card needs both 3.3v for usb chipset and at least 5v to run the clk and oven
so it's a pita

I don't know how susceptible the ocxo is to noise

ok tested properly
with all lifepo4 supplies for clocks and usb chip
ppa v3 clock unit on the silverstone base card is a smoother presentation than my usb card mod
which may suit some guys
I'd pick mine for the micro detail and transparency
ill take some or all of the circuitry between the ppa ocxo and the base card to see its effects

was a bit surprised at the result
