it's not uncommon. But agreed! Luckily my company needs valves urgently.

Many thanks Steven, my four "matched at birth" Gold Lion KT77s arrived from Hotrox this morning and I managed to have a quick listen. Even out of the box they sound very nice... warm with a little more detail and a noticeable improvement in soundstage/imagry. Looking forward to an evening of listening.
