You're dead right... but that raw talent is there to be honed.

The reaction? All a bit staged and attention seeking in itself I thought... these presenters are usually parasites and seem uncomfortable when in the company of genuine talent.... and so they should be.

I'm listening to the Cantata you just posted in the office, Sean, and I'll move onto the Christmas Oratorio then. There are advantages to working Stephen's Day after all!!

I love this clip: Placido Domingo & Sherrill Milnes sing the duet Pearl Fishes, with James Levine conducting:

I have really enjoyed this presentation and Marilyn Horne, in particular, is wonderful:

Elvira, femme de Mustafà : Myra Merritt (soprano)
Zulma, esclave, confidente d'Elvira : Diane Kesling (mezzo-soprano)
Haly, capitaine des corsaires d'Alger : Spiro Malas (baryton-basse)
Lindoro, jeune Italien, esclave favori de Mustafà : Douglas Ahlstedt (ténor)
Isabella, dame italienne : Marilyn Horne (mezzo-soprano)
