No Simon it doesn't work!!!! It is the large image option anyway but tapping it twice made it larger again. I tried both copy and save image but no luck!!!!! Don't worry I'm not the only one experiencing these problems on the pad as it's all over the net since the new os system was introduced ages ago. Thanks for your help anyway.....

Nope that did not work,

Dermot, delighted to know I am not the only one, however very interesting to know that the iPad 2 does not have this problem, but the iPad 3 does.

When you get to the stupid slideshow, put your finger on the bottom of the screen, not on the image, but on the bottom of the screen.

A new web address should come up, but at the bottom of the screen.

Tap on that new address and a new web page should open which contains the image you were looking at in the stupid slideshow

Let me know when you get this far.

Adrian,

Tried what you suggested but nothing doing! There's also a web address on the bottom left hand corner which I also used but to no avail. Grrrrrr! Try it yourself :)

I friggin' did it!!!!!! I'll have to try it again so I can remember what I did :) It's a pity it doesn't work with Amazon though :( I'll keep trying anyway....

Edit : Tried it again and it's similar to what you advised me to do Adrian. Except the link is already there on the left hand side of the screen. I just clicked on the link and the cover popped up. I then touched the cover for a couple of seconds and selected the copy option. Voila! Though I did try that earlier and it didn't work!

Ok seems you did something right there.

I tried posting a Biosphere image on the electronica section....guess what my "workaround" did not work.

I can't post any image now.

Strange!!!!! By the way my os version is 5.1.1. No problems at all with the old system as I said before. Easy as peach....

Dermot,

Just when I thought I had it sussed this afternoon, I tried posting an image of biosphere insomnia on the electronica thread 10 minutes ago.

Nothing worked.....

Until eventually I just kept trying different google images when I put and held my finger on an image and it gave me the option of opening the image in a new window, just like Simon said.

I was then able to copy the URL address in the address bar because it was a jpeg image and then post into the image brackets on the post for the electronica comment.

This apple iPad is really hard work. There is no consistency, seems to be different every time.

Well done Adrian :) Perseverance pays off but....as you said it shouldn't be this difficult! I hate to ask but have you tried Amazon? Even opening the image in a new window doesn't work :(
