Well you've seen the beard! Anyway we are digressing from Claus remortgaging to fund new speakers and sending his euro dough out of the country. We will be broke! its hard to understand how you can get a better deal in Denmark compared to Ireland given the cost of living there. Kinda shows the mark up on hifi gear.

In general there are much better deals to be had on all electronics in Denmark. The discounts on kitchen/white goods are huge compared to here. I am not sure what the explanation is. The company tax is much higher in Denmark and the VAT is about the same. Maybe competition with Germany is a factor? Otherwise it just seems like we are being robbed blind over here while we all say please and thank you... :D

Claus, I have long maintained that ROI, stands for Rip Off Ireland and it's not going to change.

Thanks you all for your kind encouragement!
Big thanks to Ken Moreland for his hospitality today!
He has a fantastic system and listening to his speakers was really very informative in terms of getting a glimpse of what can be expected with focals in a real life setup similar to mine. I was particularly impressed with the level of dynamics, resolution and sense of space for the individual instruments and voices. Soundstage was deep and wide as well.
It was also very interesting to see how well his PC/Jplay/JKDAC source sounded and functioned - really user friendly. Loads of food for thought there....
I would have no problem living with this type of speaker and there is no doubt that it represents a significant step up in relation to the LFT-8. Also at triple the cost mind you...
The finance department meeting awaits. Lets keep em crossed... Cheers guys!

Best of luck Claus. I hope you did plenty of housework beforehand and made dinner etc etc. Then ensure very good bottle of wine opened.
Watch eastenders with a smile and suggest watching cornation street repeats for the rest of the evening. Probably wont work but what the heck you have got to try.
