
I really liked these versions; they were very positive, full of vitality and exciting in approach and texturally they sounded wonderful.
Alessandrini and Concerto Italiano are hard to beat in Monteverdi. But has he recorded all the Books of Madrigals yet? La Venexiana, whose singers partly overlap with Concerto Italiano's have.
