Has anyone tried this Filter Cards:

I use them for about two years and they always improved the sound.
I had PC Mini running on batteries and with this Card was better.
Now I'm running Zuma with TeraDak ATX Linear PS and this Card is still an improvement. I'm assuming that is maybe cleaning the MoBo dirt.

thanks for posting this. How does this hookup? Do you just plug it in and that is that?? Or do you plug it in and something (USB card?) gets plugged into it?

Hi Mark,

Just plug in MoBo slot, same as your Sound Card, nothing else. Very cheap for the improvement!

did a bit of testing with the ram mod (clean linear power to ram slots) 1.4v on my b85m g43
looks like another essential modification

ill be doing this to my main machine

Where do you feed the 1.4 v to? There is no 1.4v line on mobo ATX.

Where do you feed the 1.4 v to? There is no 1.4v line on mobo ATX.

theres a choke beside all ram slots bringing in 1.5v (or whatever its set at)
take that out with a soldering iron and wire in an external source of +1.3-1.5v

Yea, we were thinking this would yield some improvement in SQ
Guess battery supply to regulator is the next possible step up in SQ.
Is there a need to be careful with the timing sequence that these various supplies turn on or do you have them all coming on together?
Also does this voltage vary depending on the clocking speed that you run RAM at?

Sure, sounds like a plan - the NiMH should be able to take that constant overvoltage? I haven't looked at NIMH but all batteries have an overvoltage recharge spec.
Also cool that timing is not an issue - I thought this area might be the real gotcha in all of this PS tweaking, resulting in many dead MOBOs as a result :)?

There's no dynamic throttling of CPU/RAM speed/voltage done by the BIOS or can this be turned off?
