I have been reading great things of that performance for some time Darren so I look forward to finally hearing it.

This is part of a package I got from MDT last week. I've listened to most of them at this stage.

Giving Sibelius 5 another go. Not there yet!



At last!! SACDs from EMI!! This is the most persuasive performance of the Dvořák piano concerto I've heard! Richter and Kleiber are fantastic and the sound is glorious. Great presentation too! Looking forward to Grieg and Schumann.

^^ What a wonderfully diverse selection there Ciaran!! I hope you have a great time with that selection - the Manze Brahms cycle has caught by attention on Amazon and I really must try and get more Haydn SQ recordings. I have to say though that one Vanska Sibelius cycle will be enough for me - the Minnesota Orchestra have given us a wonderful LvB cycle with him though :-)
