I watched it too Fran. It was very good I thought. Hence the reason why I dug out Carole King earlier.

delighted to have got this one on vinyl recently. One of my favorites. A superb atmosphere captured in this recording.

I'd say this is the first time I've ever seen anyone play this album!! You did it with Cosmos Factory and now again with Bayou Country. I've lost count of the number of copies I have of this album on all formats including box sets etc etc. Which version have you got Dave? Is your copy from Freebird on Analogue Productions? What do you think of Stu Cook's bass sound on Graveyard Train; it should sound fat and powerful. Dave, you've made my day.....

Graveyard Train by John Cameron Fogerty:

On the highway, Thirty people lost their lives.
On the highway, Thirty people lost their lives.
Well, I had some words to holler, And my Rosie took a ride.
In the moonlight, See the Greyhound rolling on.
In the moonlight, See the Greyhound rolling on.
Flying through the crossroads, Rosie ran into the Hound.

For the graveyard, Thirty boxes made of bone.
For the graveyard, Thirty boxes made of bone.
Mister Undertaker, Take this coffin from my home.

In the midnight, Hear me crying out her name.
In the midnight, Hear me crying out her name.
I'm standing on the railroad, Waiting for the Graveyard Train.

On the highway, Thirty people turned to stone.
On the highway, Thirty people turned to stone.
Oh, take me to the station, 'Cause I'm number thirty-one.

Its the Analogue Productions version Dermot. Damn expensive it was too but I finally gave in and bought it. I've been putting it off for months. Graveyard Train is without doubt the best track here and yes the bass was impressive. I'm still undecided if I'd prefer this over Como's Factory.

No Creedence album can compare with Cosmos as it's a real classic hits after hits album plus all the other wonderful stuff thrown in. I always consider Creedence as a 7 album band (all in the space of two years!), so I can take any of their albums as part of the whole, if you know what I mean! I started with Cosmos and ended with their very first album, which I mistakenly believed wasn't up to much; I was completely blown away again and I would urge you to get your hands on a copy as it's truly magnificent in every way! It's the most unCreedence of all their albums and they really show off their chops big time!

I remember walking into Freebird one time when they were the best in town and they had the complete CCR second hand vinyl collection for sale at 2.99 a pop in old money!!!! I cried as I already had the collection trice over and, would you believe, I nearly bought the collection again! I got as far as the counter with the 7 albums tucked under my arms and one look at John's face told me all I needed to know!! So I slinked back to the shadows and returned the albums. There's just something about buying an album again; it's like reliving the first time you bought the album and ends up just a pathetic attempt to turn back the clock...
