v2.98 256
v2.98 256 c2
v2.98.1 256 a32
v2.98.2 256 a32
v2.98.3 256 a32

v2.98.xx are small file size but don't use counter. this method usefull for buffer size 256, not for 160.
a32 versions for you and goon-heaven, don't work for me, i can't test sound.
try test and compare them.

----edit---
for you a32 mus be better than v2.98 (coz code better), but i don't how compiler made them.

all very good! only tidy little differences

v2.98.2 256 a32 most easily vibrates here

2.98.3 256 a32, 2.98.1 256 a32. vocal has bigger 'sand' -> means some tense in guitar. very possible my OS is bad.

2.98 256 c2 > 2.98 256. more vibration here

more testing later. morning testing is not accurate

v2.98 compiled in normal working windows environment, have glitch, but its sound very natural. in my case its vibration better, micro micro vibration. my OS weird.
----edit----
although it's a bit imbalance and dirty vs v2.98 c2 but sound texture better, natural flow. seems it can play Barbra Streidsand/Woman in Love, its treble very analog. i think Woman In Love is most analog record, its sound very difficult reproduce as vinyl. don't see any software player can correct reproduce it.

alright... misjudged. 2.98.3 256 a32 is definitely the technical best of 2.98x
(morning = incorrect sound)

seems i prefer 2.98.2 for some unknown musicality reason

----
found Barbra Streidsand/Woman in Love on the internet... shall listen listen

yes, v2.98.3 256 a32 have best code, smart loop, prefer its code. must be technically good for you.

v2.98 and c2 better sounding for me coz my wasapi memory address more useful, so then lesser conditional statements while runing.
my special version by this method is perfect, JC. almost no if/then, only xor xor, = and goto. ~maximum that i can do in code. need pointer like as 0x...00, last byte is zero.
------------------
Barbra Streisand/Guilty this original album not much in internet, i got from rutracker.org. take original, non-remastered, enjoy its analog treble, lowest frequency bass.

women in love is a beautiful song!

difficult song to play well
with 2.98.2 vocal vibration is pretty. vocal peaks struggles (is hard). close console reduces hardness
2.98 c2 is as good as 2.98.2, only less refined.

mqn2.2 has better vocal peaks. but vocal vibration not much.

(my setup/win8/2012 struggles with vocal peaks... am trying make it better)

i mean treble and bass of this Woman in Love, ~30 seconds begining of track.
bass need lowest frequency, but high dynamic range, good depth, big width, of course weight need enough.
treble need sharpness but soft, sharp in soft. softness as silk is not enough, need soft as bleb, foam, spume.
very difficult for digital players.
can not forget analog vinyl sound of this song, perfect style of Bee Gees musicants.

dirty power destroys my treble in morning here...

yes, there is bleb, foam, spume treble from version >=2.97.2
but only during 6pm to 7pm
and after 1pm in my house
cleanest power during those times

shall report back about the treble... wait me.. hehe

------
can't lie... cannot find another version that beats 2.98.2 a32 with "woman in love".
something about the bass, makes it really good.
xa lacks some bass, the sound is never the same

among old versions, the best version i find is 2.90.9. also has great bass to support vocal. but emotion lacking a little. maybe mid not enough.

in my case v2.98 softer than v2.98 c2, treble/mid/bass beats c2, good musical notes, natural flow. only its balance not stable, sometime not good. prefer it. you can retest it. all v2.98xx can be not the same SQ in different PC/laptop, depend on what wasapi memory address.

i confused version!!!! sorry, i meant 2.98.2 256 a32 is best for "woman in love"...

2.98.3 256 a32 is so refined, seems most refined here... vibration quality/texture maybe delicate! not raw at all
for rock music... this is one of the best! maybe already best
for vocal, something not the same. emotion?

here 2.98 has more stable stage than 2.98 c2.
2.98 is tighter cleaner. c2 here more vibration also more dirty
both have simple vibration when compared to a32.

-----
2.98.3 256 a32 is so refined.

i think the issue is treble tonality. the tonality is very much like 2.90. makes emotion lesser.
lekt wrote: v2.98 compiled in normal working windows environment, have glitch, but its sound very natural...
i think some glitch is correct. true sound.
not possible my cheap headphone has no glitch.
my sata cable, usb ports, dirty power etc have some glitches.

----
!!!only just notice 2.98x > 2.97.2 in piano!

testing with 2.98.1 (haven't tried other versions)....
treble notes are amazing... has the body of vinyl piano notes. sharp like CD.
bass notes are good as always.
fast notes no problem
slow notes no problem
heavy notes no problem. amazing actually
light notes seems ok enough. enough

----
wow... notes on the right-most of piano. are they called upper treble? whatever it is called, i can hear some body! that's unreal for digital audio!

---
Clavier bien tempere, Livre I- Prelude en Ut Majeur from 100 Best Piano Classics
i can hear very clearly the piano has very soft notes. very easy to play. maybe is an old piano been played a 100000 times.. hahaha

not only notes is extremely correct... also...
Clair De Lune
100% acceleration into note
firstly 90% acceleration and secondly 10% decceleration into note
i can hear these things clearly now!

----
2.98.1 256 a32 is the best piano
2.98 seems like just as good. maybe better
other versions are clearly less good. certain notes weight not enough. sometimes bright.

---
2.98.1 > 2.98... bass notes better. sounds more real.

----
here 2.98.1 violin has rich listenable treble!

2.98.1 is my favorite now!
