I had had every intention of a period of abstenance from new purchases, while I digested those I have, however I felt the urge to acquire the other set of Bruch Symphs on offer, for comparative purposes... I think they are lovely works.

^^ I think that promises to be a very good set there Jared. I have it near the top of my 'to be listened to' pile

they arrived this morning Darren, and now sit on top of the pile for comparison with the thoroughly acceptable James Conlon set..

It's a great programme Darren... I posted briefly to Fergus on it a few days ago actually. It's one of McCreesh's hypothetical programmes featuring a few composer's work, merged together. It was done back in 2004 for the 300th anniversary of Biber's death, and is in my opinion, a wonderful disk.
