I'm leaning more toward 448's.
The smoothness it's unbelievable, but bass is what bothers me! It's not tight enough. My reference is the bass in "2.71 Intel rb 1024 sw".

After a lot of tryings, I finally come to one compromised version. That's the 2.73 448 Intel raw background, but with clock settings at 23220. The clock change from 10158 to 23220 took away a bit of smoothness, but the bass improved a lot.

uploaded a 448 sw version

my favourite at the moment is 1024 background , think raw added an edge.

no scrap that, raw adds more detail so 1024 raw background - agree with nige

I can't play any of 448's so I am stack either with some old 2.71's or 2.73 no raw background if it works. I need to test it first (Nige2000 already doesn't like it).
SBGK, please wake me up, when you shift off 10ms buffer.
Cheers!
Edit:
As soon as I sent this posting in first place, crackling started playing 2.73 no raw background. So I am back to time1....

2.73 448 rb sw gives a crackling sound
2.73 448 intel raw background just plays fine

2.73 1024 raw background is also great, it has a great sense of ease and calm.

All with 23220 clock rate.

both 448 and 1024 versions working fine for me. Clockrate and proaudio sessions well need to read up on all that(probably 100 posts back) as I haven't done any of that to the best of my knowledge. 1024 raw background sounds great but being honest so does 448 version.
