So far only listened to Side 1 but sounds good, apart from Crosscut Saw which definitely has a weird mix. Vocals very low but not particularly drums or cymbals to the fore. I see you bought the Stax reissue, how does it compare on your own system?

Only got listening to it today and my first impressions is that I prefer it to the Sundazed. As I mentioned earlier the drums/bass are 'goosed' up on the Sundazed to the point of distraction. Not so on the Stax reissue which is more balanced all round. I do know that the Stax has been cut from a high res file by Ian Sefchick at Capital Mastering. Bob Irwin mastered the Sundazed which is supposed to have used the original source. The Stax for the price was a steal!

Picked this up recently out of curiosity and was pleasently surprised. Great picking :

I bought Hedvig Mollestad Trio - Evil in Oslo and Nic Jones reissue Penguin Eggs on a label I have never heard of before (Vinyl180). Thanks to a forum member I was 'enlightened' about Hedvig Mollestad Trio. I hope to have a good listen later this evening.

I've heard of the Vinyl180 label but never checked them out. Do let us know how you get on.

Good choice with HMT. Only for another forum member I'd never have seen them live :)

What kind of prices were they? If you don't mind sharing?

Nice haul Shane!

What's with the Rory album? Is it a live thing? Any good?

How do the Allman's sound? I'd say expensive 😱

Hi Dermot, haven't listened to either yet. The Rory is a live recording from RTL studios '74. Nice track listing, classic Rory stuff (mono).
Messin with the kid,Cradle Rock, I Wonder Who,Hands Off,Pistol Slapper Blues,Tattoo'd Lady,Bullfrog Blues. Weren't too many of them around.

Allmans was reasonable I thought for a 4 lp set
