It's a pretty unique record in many ways but in a similar mood, you could try:dhyantyke wrote:Yes, I love this and just in the last days had it out for a listen after forgetting about it for quite a while. can you point me in the direction of similar recordings??markof wrote:
Golden sound for a golden autumn morning.
Bill Frisell - The Sweetest Punch - arrangements of the Elvis Costello and Burt Bacharach record, Painted from memory
Bill Frisell - Big Sur - great slice of Americana
Pat Metheny - One Quiet Night - solo acoustic
John Scofield - Quiet
Marc Johnson - Swept Away
And the song - Is This America? from Rambling Boy by Charlie Haden
Hope this helps.
Mark.

In a similarly contemplative vein, I would also recommend the following duet albums:
Art Pepper/George Cables: Goin' Home & Tête-À-Tête ( the great man's swansong with his favoured accompanist of his final years)
Gary Peacock/Ralph Towner: A Closer View
Gary Peacock/Marc Copland: Insight
Marc Copland/John Abercrombie: Speak To Me
Art Pepper/George Cables: Goin' Home & Tête-À-Tête ( the great man's swansong with his favoured accompanist of his final years)

Marc Copland/John Abercrombie: Speak To Me
Gryphon Diablo 300, dCS Rossini (with matching clock), Kharma Exquisite Mini, Ansuz C2, Finite Elemente Master Reference.
