Really pleased to have been of help, my friend... the first two are simply must haves... Sarum Chant is slightly more of an acquired taste, I posted for Fergus & Simon who, like me, are in to Renaissance & Early Music... you'll find the sound world quite different, although all three of us will sincerely hope you grow into it.. ;-))dhyantyke wrote:Just bought the above along with 'Sacrum Chant: Missa in gallicantu' and 'Porgy & Bess' Miles Davisfor €12.68 including postage, all from Zoverstocks. Some of those are tempting. Occasionally the Brilliant boxes are, well, brilliant.

Re: The Bargain Thread!
James, that is a good set. I have the Guarneri string quartet cycle and I like it a lot. The Brendel Sonata cycle is very good and the Haskil and Grumiaux piano & violin cycle is truly marvellous. The Symponies are performed by Masur and the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, I am not familiar with their cycle, but the Gewandhaus are a wonderful outfit.james wrote:

Enjoy.
