hmm one day perhaps. But the next step will be Kharmas or maybe Marten speakers. Wont be anytime soon though!

Yes, I certainly second that set.
Very good I must look out for that set.
Also of note are....

Symphonies 1-3 by Dorati on Mercury and....
Symphonies 4-6 by Mravinsky on DG....

....both are excellent sets.
Dorati & Mravinsky....yes now yer talking!

I own both this one, and a very serviceable set by Rostropovich and the London Phil, available at a real budget price... in addition to a number of single releases... as far as Tchaikovsky's Symphonies are concerned, I personally feel this is enough...
