2.72 448 movdqa rel raw background and a non rel one.
Sounds pretty good, good to get the benefit of all the testing that went on with the assembly code.
makes the previous version sound clunky, don't know why I thought it was thin sounding, does my hearing change that much day to day.
Gordon
The rel versions all give crackling, static noise through the music.
Only the non-rel versions play OK.
Continue comparing the 448 non-rel versions to the 1024 which was still my favourite.
Cheers

Aleg,
there is a non rel version there, it's just the way your sp/dif convertor/dac handles the data.
The rel version has the data preloaded and I think sounds the best as the data is passed to the device as soon as possible after the fill buffer event is called, some devices can't handle it though.
Which 1024 version was your favourite ?
I find the 448 version has fantastic midrange.

This rel-issue, is that a thing of the ddc drivers or a thing of the actual ddc hardware? My Sonicweld DDC uses Thesycon drivers, but they are still the Windows 7 stuff because Josh from Sonicweld hasn't released his Windows 8 versions yet. So I just wondered if I should push him again, but now with a more acute reason.
The 2.71 raw background 8 + get normal is my favourite 1024. It has a good sense of space and detail and just that little extra depth jn the lower bass. I love it, it is my benchmark.

don't think it is a driver version issue, just the it works.
so the non rel version works ok ?
shall listen to the 1024 again.

Went to the R1 looked in task manager and it shows both mqncontrol &mqnplay in background processes. The taskmanager in R2 only shows the mqncontrol in the background processes.
Does anyone have any ideas on this?
Thank you,
Mark
Anyone able to help me with this issue?? Please..

don't know if you have to stop the jplay server first as it grabs the audio device and mqn can't initiate it.

In your mqn-directory do you have an mqnplay.exe file? So, one that has been renamed from its distribution name that doesn't end with .exe?
Do you have mqnload installed or do you use the mqn.bat directly?
If you have mqnload installed, kill the mqndeamon in the taskmanager, delete the mqnload directory from \users\administrator\appdata\local and run it anew from the mqn-directory and select an mqnplay-version you like to try, inside the mqnload-app.
If you use mqn.bat directly, does the cd-command inside the bat-file point to the right mqn-directory?
If all is in its proper place and pointing to the right directories it should just run.
Cheers
