Thanks, I missed that. Helped partly. Both playing now, but rel version only with distortions.

see jplay 5.2 now has a method where mqn could be the player interfacing to jplay using asio cable software, don't know what that does to minimise noise.

Went to the R1 looked in task manager and it shows both mqncontrol &mqnplay in background processes. The taskmanager in R2 only shows the mqncontrol in the background processes.

Does anyone have any ideas on this?

Thank you,

Mark
Anyone able to help me with this issue?? Please..

uploaded a 448 10ms version that uses the assembly code

2.72 448 movdqa rel raw background and a non rel one.

Sounds pretty good, good to get the benefit of all the testing that went on with the assembly code.

makes the previous version sound clunky, don't know why I thought it was thin sounding, does my hearing change that much day to day.

Thank god you moved up to 2.72. Was getting lost with all the 2.71's. Whats with the new long winded naming convention? I hope the long file name doesn't affect the output!

the file is renamed to the uploaded filename under controlled conditions to ensure nothing can compromise the sound, as long as there is no extraneous electrical load on the pc when you rename it back then the electrical characteristics of the file should remain as per design. Maybe I should put them in version specific folders so that they are pre-renamed.
