1024 raw background 8 + get normal bass is good
prefer sw still because of higher resolution
stage seems wrong to me sounds sort of mono'ey
will retest though if most guys like it

have gone back to 2048 version, so use the old mqncontrol
uploaded 2.71 2048 raw background 8
these are my MMCSS settings now - quite critical to the sound
changes are
background only = True
priority = 1
BackgroundPriority = 1
Affinity = 2
Clock Rate = 46440
new entry
Latency Sensitive = True
"Scheduling Category"="High"
"GPU Priority"=dword:00000008
"Affinity"=dword:00000002
"SFIO Priority"="Normal"
"Priority"=dword:00000001
"Background Only"="True"
"Latency Sensitive"="True"

Hm, I don't see backgroundpriority in Pro Audio in registry or Latency Sensitive.

gordon/sbgk - I've noticed that I've been able to kill mqncontrol in a program like Process Explorer (pretty much an alternative Task Manager) and mqnplay will continue to play through the whole playlist. Is this fine?
