Fran wrote:Don;t know if this really fits here, but this is a really good album - at least as good at the last if not better. There are 2 versions, regular or a deluxe for about €3 more that has a second disc of stripped down "demos" on it. Haven't listened to that yet.....

It is the first album he made after leaving Aphrodite's Child. What is it like? Have you ever heard the music he made with Aphrodite's Child? I'm afraid they passed me by.....But I believe the 666 album is ok. God, how many times I picked it up and left it back on the shelf :-)

I heard only a little of Aphrodite's Child back in the day and I remember that I was not that impressed....I never bought any of their stuff!
Earth is a bit of a mixed bag but there is some very good music on it....and I still have it in my collection!

Inspired by Fergus I've decided to listen to some Vangelis. Here's a rarity I haven't heard in a millennium ;-) More tribal than electronic, on side one anyway :-)

Heaven and Hell. very good album. Influenced by Carl Orff Carmina Burana.

Has the track 'State of Independence' brilliant. Donna Summer had a major hit with it.

A great compilation of his work from his early days with the Hollies to more recent offerings.
A fine body of work.
