2.4.3 is listenable in all situations.
2.4.3's vocal emotion depends on OS jitters.
doesn't matter which OS. 7, 8, 2012 doesn't matter.
less OS jitter = more emotion.
2.4.3 is special one.

1.17 seems technically better. but emotion < 2.4.3

technical best = 2.90

my favorite 2 file model = s4
s4 vibration level < s8. afterall, s4 seems to produce better music.

two week has busy, didn't make new version. my ampli doesn't work, and need technical service. now works, but power supply changed, seem bass lesser from speakers.

uploaded v2.90.1 256

made bass better, vibration is fine, everything better, balance also. i prefer bass of this version.

yes, sound have effect can fool ears, seems good but not natural, maybe compiler setting. i will review it.

i used method that more benefit with buffer size 1024. feel sound better, balance more stable. try it.

strange, normally playing in my case, sound good, not distorted. feel v2.91 is best of lekts.
maybe your OS tweak doesn't let play. what windows now you use, JC? maybe win8.1? v2.90.1 and v2.91 working with wasapi COM object only by pointers, not via object interface, cl.exe compiler lets compile it, all things improved. could you try with onboard sound card, or with vs201x installed.

working on laptop + onboard + win7

not work on PC + soundcard + 2012

only crazy thing i did is changing CPU clock syn

now back to normal. music is still distorted....

also tested on a fresh installed win8. distorted...

actually sounds really good with win7+onboard.

i compare onboard vs $20 soundcard vs $200 soundcard vs $500 USB DAC
more $ = more quantity.
quality depends more software player + OS

onboard + lekt > $500 USB DAC (Teac) + foobar
seriously... DAC is overrated.

i also think more depends software player and OS. the first need good audio data stream from player. only good stream can save its quality after transfering to end-device as amplifier.

now lekts code included only unsigned char, long, long long..., almost haven't object, very hard find out bug in code, hehe...
im finding bug, maybe exist. don't know why sound distorted. i still use win8 pro and onboard soundcard, haven't more environment for testing. so you try more test, OK, JC.
