I actually laughed out loud at that. In fact, I'm still chuckling.

Tiger shops are now selling some vinyl, cheapo turntables and have restocked those LP frames.

It's a limited selection of LPs... Police, Sex Pistols, The Who, Bob Marley and some others... I picked up Sinatra's "Strangers in The Night" on 180gm and Cream's "Disraeli Gears" again on 180gm for €15 each.

I've only ever heard Disraeli Gears on a mate's cassette! It was a bit of an ear opener.

I was tempted for exactly 5 seconds then I realised that I have more than enough Duanne to do me another lifetime! But at least your post inspired me to dig out all my Allman's stuff again including the last one I got from the Let Them Eat Vinyl label (A&R studios, NY 1971) which was done about a month before his untimely death. It's not perfect (thank God!) but it's still a good one.

Then I went looking for the actual label and found the link below. Some choice material on the preorder list :)

Then I accidentally discovered that the Ludows Garage set is now officially available on triple vinyl!
I already have a bootleg of that one with a crap cover pressed on three white vinyls but I'll still be interested. Must see if I can find out more about it......

So isn't it amazing that your post led me to other greener (and more affordable!) pastures :) Thanks Shane. Hope you're keeping well?

Something to look forward to :)

Forgot to add the only album I have of him is the 'Land of Dream' album from 1988. No idea what it's like as it's been gathering dust since then! Maybe I might just give it a spin tonight?

Yet another unreleased Live one, this time from the Band of Gypsies. Double vinyl too. Released on the last day of Sept.

Nice album but not my favourite, a bit too much Knopfler on some of it for my taste. Look back to some of his older stuff like Sail Away,Good Old Boys, 12 songs as a good starting point or the compilation: Lonely at the Top.
Some of his recent albums are solo reworkings of classic material which this box comprises. Great songwriter/composer
