I am looking forward to it Jared. The Tchaikovsky is a work that I really like and when it is played well it can be a wonderful occasion.

just in case you hadn't noticed, I'm really in love with all things Haydn at present... so you can imagine my great pleasure when I checked into ebay, and found this delightful little bargain appear for less than half the price it is on Amazon:



apparently, it's in Mint condition too, so I'm really rather pleased with myself!

I probably shouldn't have bought it at this stage, because it has now joined the Tallis disks (all 10 of them!) in forming a 2nd 'to be listened to' shelf.. but I've known I have wanted to purchase it eventually for some time, and it had evidently got under the radar on the ebay auction, and I picked it up very reasonably... yes, I'm really looking forward to hearing it... next May!!

No, you did the right thing....better to have it! I do not have the set only one or two individual CDs from it but I know the music and the the Beaux Arts are very good as you know so you will not be disappointed.
