A crackin album! The Back to Black pressing sounds a lot better than the cassette version my folks used to have that's for sure! :-)
I've been considering Bayou Country for months now but due to it's silly price in Freebird I've always skipped it. Delighted to come across Comos in Tower recently. Probably CCR's best effort IMHO.
Delighted to hear you love Cosmos :-)) The Bayou Country Lp in Freebird is the very expensive remastered Analogue Productions version. I got it from Diverse when it came out first and it's a super clean production for sure with John's voice sounding a little too smooth for my taste.I prefer my bog standard version(s) for one reason, and one reason only, Graveyard Train;it's supposed to have a big fat bass sound. Unfortunately the Analogue Productions version cuts the bass and volume which ruins it for me. I know I can turn it up and up but I'm a bit nerdy when it comes to the position of the volume control(s)......

Edit: It just occurred to me that I always ring in the New Year with a Creedence album! This year would you believe, I played Side 1 of Cosmos! Weird or what?

Having heard ABBA’s song “Happy New Year” a number of times recently I wanted to hear the entire album again as I had not heard it in quite some time....

Nice one Fergus. I just love that cover with Sandy's parents looking a bit perplexed and the group seemingly oblivious to what's going on around them :-) Ah, the innocence of it all.....

I have the vinyl version with the 12" sized book tastefully stapled to the inside spine :-)
A very much underrated classic IMO....

That looks interesting Dermot. How does it compare to Filmore East?
