Hi Fran,

I think the host have changed ports again on the server. Not getting email notifications of pms.

Cheers,
Dave

I don't think so - I got one just seconds ago. I found one in my spam box yesterday though...

Anyone else noticed any problems?

Fran

Must say it's been fine for me as well. Have got emails for all of my recent PMs.

Have 3 pm's still in my outbox. I have deleted inbox and sent items to no avail. Am I missing something obvious?

There's something about a PM stays in your outbox until it's read. If you follow me.

Yep - 2 separate issues here.

1. When you send someone a PM, you click send and the PM seems to stay in your outbox. The PM only moves to sent items when the person reads the PM. Its a good way of knowing whether someone has read it or not.

2. Notification of PMs, thread replies etc to your normal email address, from "admin@tirnahifi.org".

In the past we had a couple of hiccups with #2 when the people who host the site here change the port on their server that they route these emails through. The problem here for the end user is that they don't get an email telling them there's a PM for them - and if they aren't logging on regularly they might not see that for a few days etc.

Just to further muddy the waters!! The little notification that tells you who else is online is actually based over a recent short period. So for example, if "Ivor" clicked on TNH by mistake and stayed 15 secs, then for the next 5 mins it would still show him as being there. Also, I think you can hide your online status in the UCP if you want a sneaky look in without anyone knowing you're here.
