My wife, who was going to Dublin for the day, heard about Philomena signing her book courtesy of Lyric FM. Thanks to my wife, I now have a signed copy of MY BOY..., amazing as last week I bought five Thin Lizzy CDs from Fergus and I played Johnny the Fox on Friday night. And, as you may have guessed, my forum login handle Rocker was borrowed from Phil Lynotts book The Rocker. My wife described Philomena as charming, friendly and very beautiful.

Celtic Note in Dublin have plenty of the new Thin Lizzy remasters on vinyl in stock now. They dont have the very early records but many of the later ones are there. They are a bit expensive though, anything from 26 to 30 Euro a pop but then again Celtic Note are always a bit on the expensive side compared to the rest.

and check your change. Seriously. I bought a clutch of of CDs in there which were marked at €7.99 (or thereabouts) and the assistant rang a few of them up at full price. It happened the next week as well only this time it was the owner. Coincidence or policy? I know what I decided.

Funny you should say that as I always feel a little bit pressurised into buy something there! Needless to say I've stopped going in...and yes, they are overpriced too :-(

I get that too. It's almost expected that I won't walk out of the shop unless I have an armful of vinyl on the way out. I don't let it bother me though as they do tend to have some titles that I covet very much on vinyl that usually dont show up anywhere else.
