Lads, try to listen to some Burmester, particularly the 911 mk 3 amp. Think of me here on single parent duty...

Wow!! That's an incredible array of exotica. Must surely be the biggest hi-end event by some margin now.

Great pictures, thanks guys. Definitely one to consider for the diary.

Bit of a stupid question coming up? Do you get to actually listen to many of the setups in a somewhat decent environment? A lot of the photos show stuff which appear to be displayed mainly for visual effect? Perhaps just happened to be the specific photos?

It really looks like a fantastic event!! Mobile World Congress for audiophiles 😀

Thanks for posting Fran, great pictures too!

I wonder with Brexit coming down the tracks will we see less British Hi Fi gear and more European stuff? Certainly a lot to choose from there, just about every conceivable combination of ideas on multiple products.

Great sound in the Ypsilon room this morning. Very beguiling and dynamic as hell.

In other news, Stax still rules the headphone world IMHO.

The show is in 2 parts Steve. There is a large exhibition area where stuff is generally on static display, and then the upper floors there are maybe 50 listening rooms, each about 4x the average hotel room size. So for a change you can actually hear a system in decent circumstances
