assume the new chord dac needs a grown up sized usb cable
difficult to recommend a cable though we have only tested a few and they were well over 100e
will a usb adapter not work?

The cable is very cheap so it's hard for audiophiles to get their heads around . I noticed it on this review

1 metre is the minimum I think

I was going to order the short regen cable from PPang basically a cheaper version of Pearse's long usb cable but length wise similar to the spec you are suggesting Nigel.

Good spot nige. They look a well thought out design and handmade.
Better still a 30 day money back offer if you don't like them and in UK.
I want a short one too, but 0.5m is pretty good and practical length.
Will give one a go as I only have a stock Belden at present.
